Hi all in the land of blog

Yesterday tea time, I was working my way through my lovely comments in my e mail box and came upon an e mail from the very talented Janette designer of Dragon's Lair Designs the home of Stamping with the Dragon's fabulous images.

Janette was informing me that Stamping With the Dragon had been published in Papers and Pixels, and that one of my former Design Team creations had been used in the publication.

Well you can imagine the speed, that I went here and for the price of 99p, awesome price, I purchased the February Issue and downloaded it. Now I have never seen this e magazine before, although for 99p I am impressed with the content. So many fabulous ideas and great tutorials, I may take out the year subscription as well, as that is not that much either.

So really just wanted to say a huge thank you to Janette and thank you to Papers and Pixels too and suggest that you take a look at this fabulous e magazine.

I also would like to take the opportunity to apologise if I am a little behind with my commenting, and I am on catch up promise, please be patient with me :)

Here is what I created for my Design Team inspirational piece

I made an any occasion friend card, the base layer is a pale green and this is also the complimenting colour, the tags are at the top two little ones with pearls to hold them in place. The heart edge punch has been used to create a border for the ribbon (slightly the wrong colour ribbon, but was on before I decided I hated it) The ticket tag is from the Ticket Sentiments at the Emerald Faerie Garden. Flowers from stash and I have used tattered rose for the distressing on this occasion.

Top Tip

When using strong copic colours, do not take the colour right up to the line, let the alcohol do that for you as you blend and add the colour instead of bleeding outside the lines it will then be retained by the lines.

Sorry for the short delay, wanted to clear the house mouse candy before I added this one, but now is the time, so here is my thank you to my 800 + followers :)

This time around I have gone for a Steam Punk theme, with some gorgeous new papers from Grimsby Crafts, and some accompanying images and embellies. I have to say I also bought myself a similar pack of papers and I struggled to decide which ones to give in the candy.

Now after being blown away with the invite to join this fabulous challenge, my mind went totally blank, so after some wonderful suggestions from the lovely Christine and seeing some of the other gorgeous work created for this challenge, I decided to go with this for my inspirational piece.

I made an easel "Missing You" card.

The base layer and contrast here is a lovely deep chocolate brown. The papers are "First Edition" from the Range and the dies are Memory Box a new one called Quinn Flourish and available from Grimsby Crafts. The roses are from Wild Orchid and distressed with TH "Old Paper" and the amber bling are from the Hobby House.

Red, White, Black with Texture for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

So here is my design team inspirational piece but don't forget to hop on over to the challenge site to view the rest of the gorgeous creations

I made an 8 x 8 inch Valentine card for my dearest hubby Matt. The base layer is a burgundy pearlescent paper and this is also the contrast. The papers are Kaiser. The large heart is a Go Kreate cut onto black card. the heart has been totally covered with little burgundy roses along with some beady frond things all from the local department store. The edge of the heart has been edged with lace from the same location. The return has a run of MS punched hearts with contrasting papers (negatives of the main paper) and the sentiment which is My Sentiments Exactly is on a plate of the normal nestie and it's scallop partner. The ribbon of burgundy roses and the ribbon and bow is also from the local craft shop.

No Square or Rectangles Cards Allowed at the Winter Wonderland

Now you may have noticed that so far this year I have not made a Xmas card, so this is my first of many. I got some lovely dies for Xmas so just had to play with them, so here for you is my design team inspirational piece, but don't forget to hop over to the main challenge site to check out some more fabulous eye candy from the WW Teamies.

I made a very large snowflake card :)

The base is a grand nestie scallop circle with a smaller grand normal circle of some gorgeous papers that I got from Grimsby Crafts, along with the adorable image which is a Nellie Snellen. The roses are from Wild Orchid and have been airbrushed as has the image plate with BG23. The dies used are from Dies to Die for and is a Memory Box die called "Snowflake corner" I have cut this out several times to surround the image plate.

The image has been coloured with copics in the BG range in the main, but have used liquid appliqué for the falling snow, polar white flowersoft for the fluff on his little coat and ice stickles around the image plate and on the roses.

A Very Special Male Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a card for my Big Brother, whose birthday it is today. He supports Liverpool so that explains it really :)

So here is the card I made him

I cannot remember the name of the image but got it from Grimsby Crafts, along with the papers and the black pearls. The base layer and contrast is black pearlescent card.

Hugs and Kisses from the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

I had a few ideas in my head for this one, but they all came tumbling down as the cuttlebug broke, but as the Big Shot arrived so swiftly to replace, I was able to get this one finished :)

So here is my first card created using my Big Shot, my inspirational piece for you all :) but don't forget to hop over to the site to see who the amazing sponsor is this week and to check out the rest of the Design Teams fabulous pieces.

I created an easel Valentines card. The papers are Kanban from Grimsby Crafts, the base layer and contrast is a deep textured green card from the Hobby House. The flowers are from Wild Orchid, airbrushed with RV91. The bling gems are from the Hobby House. Ribbon from a win, cheesecloth from my stash. Leaves cut out of left overs. Now the large heart is an example kindly provided by Tracy at Dies to Die for as is the little tag for the sentiment, aren't they fabulous, can you guess what is on my wish list next. Here is also the cherish border that caused me so many problems, but doesn't it look stunning.

Be My Valentine with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

So here is my design team inspirational piece

A Valentine's Card

Made with purple mirror card wow what bling!!!

The base layer and contrast is the purple mirror card, with papers from the Bloomsbury Pad which I purchased at Grimsby Crafts. The frame around the image is a Cheery Lynn, yep a new addition to my craft stash. Matt very kindly poked out all the cut out bits bless him, love ya hun!! The sentiment is sat on a nestie tag with some more of the ribbon I won threaded through it. I have used spun sugar distress ink and a scroll stamp to edge the sentiment.

Now here is a slight different angle, to hopefully show you that I have decoupaged the wings and her skirt, but they are not stuck on flat decoupage but angled from the body, hope you can see it

now what did I create for this week's theme well I tried to stay clear of red, white and black so here we go with my unusual colours

I made an Anniversary Easel Card

So the base layer is a pale green with some of those lovely Papermania Capsule Collection Mono's from the yellow stack. The MS POTP is the double heart, the edge punch under the image is the MS single decorative heart. The large heart is also an MS and the sentiment on the return is the nestie heart scallop and plain. The image plate has been airbrushed as has the image and the flowers with Y06. The sentiment on the image is by Paula Pascual and on the return My Sentiments Exactly. Pearls from the Hobby House and a mint stickles has been added to the flowers. The ribbon is from my stash.

Here is my Design Team inspirational piece

I decided to make an 8" x 8" Birthday card

The base layer and contrast here is a deep pink paper with some lovely papers from the Kanban collection, that I purchased from Grimsby Crafts. The edge punch is the MS little daisy which has been layered and finished with some little pale blue pearls from the Hobby House. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid and have been airbrushed as has the sentiment and image plate with B23. The ribbon was from a win and totally gorgeous to work with and felt that as the theme was ribbon had to go a little OTT with it. The fronds on the flowers is a Marianne die.

Kenny K coloured in copics, as it is a digi image I oversized it and used my grand nestie circle and circle scallop, so that only part of the image was showing, she lost half her legs bless her.

Swirls and Pearls with the Winter Wonderland Design Team

Here is my design team inspirational piece, however don't forget to hop on over and see what the rest of the amazing team have created to inspire you.

The base colour and contrast on this card is a yellow paper with those gorgeous Papermania Capsule Collection Liquorice Mono papers. I have used an MS POTP to create an extra delicate layer and used lots of swirls and pearls, along with two little bows from the Papermania collection. Not too many flowers sorry on this one, but there are so many of them on the papers and the image.

This is one of my new Penny Black images, coloured in copics, the sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. The ladybird has been coated in glossy accents to make him stand out and shine, not sure you can see this in the photo though.

Mo Manning Get Well For a Special Lady

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

Today I am going to show you the second get well card for my work colleague, another of Mo Manning's fabulous images and just perfect for a work a holic, as I know what she will be doing when she should be resting

So without too much introduction here it is

This is another 8 x 8 card to allow for a large signing area in side

The base layer is a deep royal blue, with some gorgeous Bloomsbury Papers that I purchased at Grimsby Crafts, I have to say that these papers and the other colour ways available are so lush. I have used the contrast colour to create a ribbon band edged on both sides with the MS decorative heart edge punch and I have used another of my new Memory Box dies, this one is the new release called "Cherish Border" from Dies to Die for The large heart is by MS and the sentiment is on this occasion computer generated. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and have been airbrushed to match the card as has the ribbon / bow.

Here is a close up of the image, which is a Mo Manning and just seemed perfect for her, it is coloured in copics and airbrushed around the edges. The soft fluffy look was gained by in the main dot colouring with a last blend to soften this.

Get Well with Mo Manning for a Man

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

came home today to find that blogger is playing up just a tad, all my linkz for my DT's not showing so finding it very frustrating not being able to get around you all, but I am persevering. Hope to be with you all soon and now the internet is playing up too, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Don't you just hate techie issues.

Today I am going to show you one of two get well cards for people at work, it appears to be the time of year for it.

The first card is for my new boss, he is not able to drive for a while and must be missing us in the office too (or maybe not we are all female, he is probably getting peace) anyway this is a new purchase specially for the occasion from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop

I decorated the inside too

The base layer and contrast for this male variety is a dull gold pearlescent, and the papers are gorgeous and NEW in at Grimsby Crafts, gonna have to get some more :) I have used a MS POTP to frame the image.

I have used the Sky stamp to stamp some additional gold around the image, and the image has been coloured with copics. (yep back to colouring)

House Mouse and Friends Challenge GDT - Black and White

Now initially I thought, wow I love a challenge, then I thought how do I colour in black and white, then I just went with the flow and created this shaped easel card.

I have used a Go Kreate die for the shape of the card, with a black pearlescent card for the base layer and contrast. The papers are Papermania Capsule Mono Collection called Liquorice the bows and ribbon are also from this collection. The pearls are from Grimsby Crafts as is the little black flower on the return sentiment. The return sentiment is by My Sentiments Exactly. The flowers with a little diamond stickles are all from Wild Orchid. A small nestie label has been used for the sentiment on the return and some gorgeous tag dies from spellbinders for the front sentiment. The lovely fronds of black peeking out of the flowers was a punch I purchased from the Doncaster Dome on my last splash out.

Green and Gold or Yellow with the Emerald Faeries Garden Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the next challenge at the

Emerald Faerie Garden

with a very special theme this time around to

celebrate Australia Day on the 26th of Jan

so the theme is

"Green & Gold/Yellow"

Now although I have some fabulous friends in Australia, I am a British girl at heart, so have created a Mother's Day Card, I know just a little early but this image just shouted out for it

I have used a gold mirror card for the base layer and contrast and some gorgeous Papermania capsule mono Verde collection papers. The flowers in the main from Wild Orchid and the pearls from the Hobby House. Some cheese cloth has been added for the faerie feel along with some butterflies with liquid pearl bodies.

The image has, as always been coloured in copics and is a combination of two digital images and some digital text. A little sakuro clear glitter on her wings and just a touch of white gel pen for some very fine highlights.

More Little African Elephants

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Yesterday I had a lovely day and spent some time with the lovely Debbie, popped my card for the class into Grimsby Crafts for display and posted my parcel to my sister with all four of the African themed decoupage cards, that I made for her shop. This one is the last one that went into the pot.

The image is a 3D decoupage by Le Suh and the papers again are 7 Gypsies, they work so well with these images. The card itself is a blank, so can be used for any reason.

so on to the theme, this gave me a fabulous reason to use one of my new LOTV images that I was lucky enough to win, so here is my design team inspirational piece, although don't forget to head over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the amazing eye candy by the oh so talented team

I made a birthday card, the base layer is a deep navy blue and then the papers on top all glittery are actually from a Dovecraft Christmas stack. The paper in the oval is from Grimsby Crafts so very pretty, it was also in my last candy. The image LOTV positively pampered of course, flowers in the main from Wild Orchid and the ribbon down the side has been threaded through a ribbon edge punch and a small ribbon bow tied at the bottom.

Here is the image coloured in copics with a little white gel pen for the highlights and some Tim Holtz shattered glass for the edge distressing.

I chose to use one of the images and here is what I created

I made a Birthday card

The base card and contrast here is a purple mirror card, with some gorgeous Kanban papers which I purchased at Grimsby Crafts. The ribbon was from a win, the pearls from the Hobby House. I have used the MS heart edge punch and the large heart punch and added some little roses. A butterfly with some liquid pearl for it's body and a little pink gem from some Christmas ribbon wrap which I got from Lidl's. The bow is a double bow.

A Mother's Love

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

Been back at work two days and quickly back into the swing of it all, Sunday evening I did a little cutting out whilst watching "Got to Dance" and then quickly finished another card off for my sisters little shop in Zanzibar, really trying to fill the box before Saturday when I need to post these to her for her birthday. Had a lovely visit from my brother yesterday tea time, great to see him.

So here is the next creation of Le Suh 3D decoupage

Base layer and contrast is a black pearlescent card. I have used this in two panels separated by the MS POTP. I have to keep the cards pretty clean as the heat their would mean that pearls etc would fall off. The papers used are again 7 Gypsies.

A Little Bit of Africa

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

Oh what an interesting day I have had, firstly the housework, then tidying around the garden from the wind blown items, not sure if I told you our fence is down at the moment, no photo sorry as it looks an eye sore, just waiting for my little guy to come do the repairs (soon I hope) and I have decided to keep on top of the ironing on a weekly basis now rather than a monthly to six monthly one, so did this weeks.

Then I got to play, yep you can imagine what with but unfortunately although all my dies now work perfectly through the big shot, (plates need to be really straight on the long border ones on some makes of dies cutting machines) the pieces I made I cannot show you as they are for up and coming DT pieces. What I can show you though is another of the cards made to send to my sister for her friend to sell in the little local shop. So this is another Le Suh 3D decoupage.

The base layer and contrast is a latte coloured pearlescent card, I used some 7 Gypsies papers and the MS edge punch with some ribbon from stash. Just look at that cute little new baby elephant :)

700 Follower Blog Candy, Sale Purchases and Normal Crafting Resumes :)

Today I have been to the Grimsby Crafts Sale, and wow, so many people to catch up with and so much on offer, totally filled my boots so to speak, but then I had to nip to the range too, as needed to replace my cuttlebug and Lynn from Grimsby Crafts had told me that the Range had them in at a very good price, that they were, so I got one and whilst there also picked up a few more bits :) well you just got to haven't you. Would be so rude not too and I would hate to be rude.

Here is a quick picture of my purchases, taken on the craft room floor as the tables in the house really just would not have been big enough lol x

and here is the alternative replacement, thank you Polly. Sam you just knew it was coming didn't you!

Anyway onto the main aim of today which is to put my candy up

The very talented Andie has chosen the theme this week, which is

Let Them Eat Cake

Oh I just had to use one of my favourite images from the House Mouse range and I hope you spot one of my Christmas presents in this creation. I will give you a little hint, it is made from fimo :) so I cannot eat it, what a shame.......

I made a birthday card, using a pale blue for the base layer and contrast and some gorgeous pink papers sorry did not write the name down.The image has been cut with the second to smallest grand oval nestie with the matching scallop oval nestie for the trim. A little lace from Grimsby Crafts some pink liquid pearls a decorative corner from the Hobby House a little airbrushed R85 doily and an array of flowers from local shops.

The added extra is the little fimo cake slice, yep made by me, just one of the two embellies I have tried so far, but I am sure that more are to follow as it was really easy to do.

A Dream of a New Home

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

Today has been a busy one, with lots of crafting, and a NOT so good start to the New Year or you could look at it as a brilliant!!! start to the new year................. see what you think

My new Memory box dies arrived whoop, whoop, so got on with a card that I just wanted to do as I had created the image digitally and it just needed me to colour, but then also had a brain wave on another so out came the NEW memory box heart border die. Through the grand and oh dear that was not so good, it would not cut all the way through, so out with the good old reliable (I will get to this bit again in a minute) cuttlebug.................and nope that did not work either. Now a couple of years back I had a problem with a metal topped snowflake die, but my beloved husband is a ace up my sleeve (that can be taken today in two ways) he figured out how to get my little snowflake out, so I asked him to do the same with my Memory Die, left him at it whilst I got on with a couple of more bits, and then it appeared he was having an issue, the sandwich would not move. Both Matt and Mike tried to resolve this issue and eventually Matt decided it needed taking to pieces. So after taking the dog to the vets for her manicure, we returned home, for me to cook tea and for Matt to dismantle the bug. Shortly returning to inform me that it has broken teeth on a cog.....................you got it HE has broken my bug, that oh not so reliable now bug :( . However this does present a nice opportunity :) the ace up his sleeve............... Spoke to a good friend Polly and discussed the possibilities of different replacements and I am now aiming for an alternative replacement, fingers crossed tomorrow at the Grimsby Crafts sale..............................more to follow.

Anyway the card I was so eager to complete I sat and coloured up this evening, so here is my interpretation of the sketch at Totally Papercrafts rotated slightly.

It is a new home card

The base layer is a bright pink paper which is also the contrast on this card. The card is an 8"x 8" card. The papers which are gorgeous are by Kanban from their Bloomsbury Collection pad. The darker green papers, get this are from my left overs draw :) and are also Kanban. The roses are from Wild Orchid, originally white and airbrushed with RV06 with a little glossy accents for dew drops. The pearls are from the Hobby House and the little green flourishes are one of many lovely samples sent from Dies to Die for with my recent order, this flourish has been carefully cut into four. The gorgeous cerise ribbon from a recent win.

Totally Thrilled and Sooooooooooo Excited

Today I get to tell you all my exciting news, although I am surprised you have not heard me screaming and shouting from your crafting areas.

As you know I have sort of an addiction to some amazing little critters, and towards the end of last year applied for a Guest Design Spot on the amazing

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenges

and just into the New Year, the lovely Christine contacted me to ask me if I still wanted to be a Guest Designer

oh my!!!! between the screaming and shouting, I managed to reply instantly with a whopping YES!!!!!!!

so thrilled to be able to tell you all that I am a House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Guest Designer for January, and I get to work with some amazingly talented crafters and of course my ultimate favourite little critters, what a fabulous start to the New Year

A Little Le Suh Decoupage

Hello all in the land of blog

A little while ago I spotted a fabulous creation by Karin, the piece just shouted fabulous, and just perfect for some cards that my sister had asked me to create with an African feel to them, for the little shop to sell near her in Zanzibar.

I asked Karin where and what they were and she very generously told me they were Le Suh decoupage, I did some internet browsing and then ordered some of their books.

Here is one of many to follow which I will be sending to my sister for the shop

This is an any occasion card with a blank inside for the person who buys to write what they want on.

The papers are from 7 Gypsies and the punch is the MS daisy small. The ribbon from stash tied in a single bow. I have avoided the pearls etc, as these may come off travelling but also in the heat there.

New...................Baby Girl

Good afternoon to you all in the land of blog

Happy New Year to you all, Hope you had a great time

I know I did, so after clearing the decks of Christmas Trimmings and giving the house a quick spring clean, and now getting to grips with the accumulated wash loads of which the ironing pile will be back to it's normal size, but whilst waiting for the wash loads to go through I just had to play in my Beach Hut.

Today I opted to play with one of my favourite little critter images from House Mouse, and here is my creation

I made a Baby Girl card.

Base layer and contrast here is a light purple with Prima papers to compliment. The flowers are all airbrushed in G83 and were originally white and from Wild Orchid. The pearls are from the Hobby House, the ribbon is Papermania Capsule Collection Heather from a local store. The tag has been airbrushed along with the image plate. The sentiment on the image plate is My Sentiments Exactly. The little charm from my stash.

Red and White with the Winter Wonderland

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did, took me a few days to find my craft room, I think my mojo went into relaxation only mode.

Anyway today sees the last challenge of 2011 at the

Winter Wonderland

Our very talented Sally has chosen the theme this week which is

Red and White

Now I was in a swing of bottles a little while ago, and had said I had lost one, well the one I lost was the first one I made, which was made in Red and White and for this challenge so finally I found the lost one.

Here is my design team inspirational piece, but don't forget to hop on over to the challenge site to see what other gorgeous pieces have been created.

This bottle cover is using the tutorial I recently posted, so if you use the link in the header bar, you will be able to create your own should you wish too. Totally Adorable...............

Good afternoon in the land of blog

I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas, received lots of lovely gifts and had some of that fabulous R & R.

Today Matt has gone fishing, well it is very mild for this time of the year, so I got to spend my day in the craft room, I have done quite a few challenge DT cards, several boxes for cards previously made and complete the first layout for the scrap book that I am making for April's new baby Oliver.

So here without too much fuss is the layout

The papers are from Grimsby Crafts, the pearl flourishes including their own lace is again from Grimsby Crafts as is the lace. The ribbon I won, the flowers are in the main from Wild Orchid. The charms from several locations, the little pearl heart from Grimsby Crafts, the little ABC blocks, ducks, and Baby Boy from stash and the lettering for Oliver is also Grimsby Crafts. Thread from stash and I used some Tim Holtz crackle antique linen and brushed this with shattered glass on the lettering. The tag is hand made not sure where the sentiment came from but the other one in the kit has had it and ripped as I tried to use it :( and the matching little bow is from Papermania.

A Birthday Card, the base layer and contrast is a navy blue textured card, with the Papermania Capsule papers in the yellow. The image is of course one of my favourite House Mouse ones. The ribbon has been criss crossed over the card with a little lemon flower on the junction. An MS punch has been used and some little lemon pearls from the Hobby House. The sentiment is from Grimsby Crafts.

Cuddling in the Snow

Morning to all of you in blog land

I just wanted to take a couple of minutes here to

Wish all of my Visitors and Followers a Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year

This little creation was the Christmas Card (hopefully my last Christmas Card post of 2011) for the ladies at the Cutting Crew in New Waltham Grimsby and for Angela their boss, who without fail makes me look fabulous every time I go in for a make over

The base layer is that fabulous mirror gold card and the contrast is the same. The papers are Dovecraft a 12 x 12 stack called Noel. The image of course is a Penny Black and the sentiment added to the image plate is by Personal Impression and available at Grimsby Crafts. The ribbon was a gift in my last order from Wild Orchid and the little pearls/gems and the antique pretty snowflake charm are from the Hobby House. The edge punch is the MS holly.Gold gel pen used for dots and then over glittered with a clear gel sakuro pen.

I made this Sunday evening after a snooze from the large roast dinner, it was really relaxing making it too and I like the overall effect.

Jingle All The Way.....................

Later on today, I get to go for my Christmas make over at the hairdressers across the road, I will feel like a new woman again :)

This card, is another that the dearest husband Matt, decided on Friday he needed to send............I tell you, next year I will make 10 cards just for him and his short notice requirements.

I decided to go with one of my more recent Penny Black images, so here is what I created for him

An A5 Christmas card on the landscape

The base colour and compliment is again gold, the papers so sorry I really need to start writing these down as I make the cards " New Years Resolution" promise. The MS holly edge punch has been used to create a base for the lovely ribbon, which is lightly wired enabling this bow to stand proud, and the ends actually go where I want them too.

Snow Way!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon to you all in the land of blog

Matt came home from work on Friday with a request for two Wife's Christmas Cards, can you imagine, here I am totally organised all cards written, all the shopping done bar last midnight shop for last perishables

Yep, did the Morrison's shop yesterday a good two hours meandering around. Got my planned Christmas hug with the dearest Janet and received some fabulous customer service on her counter, would expect nothing less mind :) she is the best. Matt got out of butterflying the leg of lamb on Christmas Day, as the lovely butcher man did this for him and I got some lovely cheeses.

The freezer is now full to capacity as is the fridge, finding today's roast and vegetables was a feat in itself, but it is now smelling absolutely gorgeous.

I have cleaned the kitchen and rearranged so that the posh coffee machine is accessible and we have already had two filters, might have to stretch to an expresso later, as after get this - I cleaned my Beach Hut, for those of you that don't know this is my craft room. The dear husband oh so wanted to take a photo of me, so he could blog it for you.............................don't think so.

So here are the two cards I made after sitting and colouring the images last night whilst watching the Strictly final, yay for Harry!!!!! wasn't he good. A Double for McFly.

These are similar to one I have created before

An untraditional Christmas colour the base layers is gold mirror card as is the contrast, the MS snowflake edge punch has been used and some ribbon threaded lace ribbon and a few little gold pearls

The sentiment is a WOJ and the image is by Gillian Roberts called Eskimo Kisses by Mo Manning, the image has been coloured with copics and some spun glass added to the ground for the snow, the glitter dots for falling snow and the liquid appliqué for the fluffy ruffles.

and what a fabulous start to my three weeks holiday, oh all right I have to go into work on Tuesday for an hour but other than that I am done for Christmas, Whoop Whoop!!!! don't you just love it :)

Today sees the next challenge at the

Our fabulously talented Tracie has chosen this weeks theme and that is

Happy New Year or Celebrations

Now I was lucky enough a little while back to win some LOTV stamps, and I could not resist some of their new images, so here is me using one of my winning images

I made a general celebration card, could be for many occasions.

The base layer and contrast is a pale pink pearlescent card and the papers are Prima I believe, from the Hobby House. The 2nd to smallest Grand Oval/Scallop Oval nestie has been used for the image plate border and the image plate. Behind the image plate border is some oh so sweet lace from Grimsby Crafts, (cannot use this enough) The ribbon and bow is from the Hobby House as are the pearls. The large bling charm is from the Lidl wrapping ribbon reels that I got. The flowers are Wild Orchid airbrushed in R85. The image plate has also been airbrushed in the same colour. I place a mask over the image to protect it.

I have been published!!!!!!

now and again you just got to shout and today I am SHOUTING!!!!!! Totally thrilled to bits as I have been published in the 2nd Edition of the Copicendium and this time I have three pages to my little creation.

Be Different with the Winter Wonderland Design Team

First of all I apologise for being MIA over the last couple of days, had my annual trip to the GA ward, but back to normal again now.

This is my second post of today, please scroll down for my Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team Creation.

Today sees the next challenge at the

I chose the theme this week, which is a thought provoking one

Be Different

Use an image for a different purpose

Now this could be a non Christmas image for a Christmas card or a Christmas image for a non Christmas card - hope you understood that bit, but if you hop over to the Challenge site you can see all of the amazing eye candy from the Design Team to inspire you further.

Here is what I created using two Christmas stamps one being the lovely Tilda and the other being a fir tree stamp.

I made a Prom Queen Card.

The base colour is cream with some gorgeous papers from the Hobby House creating a lovely pink and lime green contrast. The lovely ribbon is from the Hobby House as are the little pearls. The lace is from Grimsby Crafts as is the punch. I have added a little charm and a doily all slightly airbrushed with the YG25. Flowers are in the main from Wild Orchid which have also been airbrushed with R83

The image has been coloured with copics, and here is another close up of the pretty flowers with just a hint of glitter on them (stickles)

With a Flourish and a Swirl for the Emerald Faerie Garden DT

Today is the next challenge for the

Emerald Faerie Garden

The theme this time around is

flourishes and Swirls

Here is what I created for my Design Team inspirational piece

I made a heart shaped Wedding Anniversary easel card with a matching box

The base card is white with the black complimenting colour and some of those gorgeous Papermania Capsule Collection mono papers. The sentiments on the front and the easel return are by My Sentiments Exactly and one is sat on a nellie die and the other a nestie die. I have used some cheesecloth under the image to soften the card and if you look really closely I have use the MS heart punch to create a pretty doily effect around the large hearts of the easel. Marianne heart dies, nestie flourishes and Marianne swirls along with lots of Wild Orchid flowers all airbrushed to match.

Here is a close up of the sentiment on the return with those three gorgeous Marianne heart dies

Here is the left side of the card and the left side of the top of the box, where I have added some liquid pearls to the top heart and flowers and ribbon to the box.

This is the right hand side of the card with the floral array and those Marianne flourishes with swirls, you can also just see the little hearts all the way around the card edges.

Box it Up!!!!

Hi to all of you in blog land today

I mentioned a little while ago that I had given my boss a musical mug for a Xmas treat, and that I had made a box for this to sit in.

Here is the little number that I created, nothing too exciting and I apologise for the dark photo too, was heaving it down outside so the natural light was not too good, thank heavens for my day light lamp

I used some parcel fancy ribbons from Lidl's to decorate the box along with some vintage papers and a nestie tag and little verse from Grimsby Crafts

Just wanted to also say thank you for the wonderful comments that all my fabulous visitors leave, I love them all THANK YOU!!!

When gluing a box together if you use the old style wooden pegs, you can get on with other things, also the talc powder on the tan embossing matt prevents papers sticking to them through the grand calliber and also the talc helps the dies come out of Marianne dies on the older style dies without the push out holes.

Pretty House Mouse Calendar 2012

Hi all

Blimey wasn't it cold and thick ice this morning, even Star did not want to go out the door for her morning toileting.

Well hoping that this will warm you up where ever you are, here is another little something that I coloured up the other evening

Loved using this image and these colours so Girly

I used the largest of the grand ovals the plain and scallop one, base colour a gorgeous purple with the lovely deep pink to contrast. Little pearls from the Hobby House and flowers in the main from Wild Orchid and the local Department Store. Marianne dies for the fronds also in the gorgeous purple. The little calendar from Grimsby Crafts.

Hi all

Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I have finished all the bottles and also made a little box for the new boss, did not think he would want wine, so bought him an annoying musical Xmas Mug, it was ace. All of the ladies loved their little thank you's, was the best team meeting, lots of fun, laughter and sweets.

Here are all the finished bottles and the little box will follow shortly by the way - lost one photo on the way not sure where it went too?? Think it is for a DT piece

The Drink Is On Me

Today I get to show you another of my little bottle, I know your getting a little fed up of them by now, as am I lol xx will most definitely not be doing this again for a while, I apologise for the lack of posts :(

This one is a gold and yellow creation with a little airbrushing on the sentiment and over sprayed with gold glitter lacquer , flowers were originally white and in the main from Wild Orchid. Nestie leaves and tag and Marianne die for the base.

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

The other morning I received a lovely comment from Ani asking me to hop over to her blog to receive this gorgeous award, Ani, thank you hun, means a lot :)

Accepting the award means I have to tell you seven things about me and choose 7 blogs that inspire me.

The seven things about me, think I have done this several time now so really hard to find something new to tell you all so here we go

1. I love my new job

2. I cannot help being methodical and organised

3. I create a Xmas Card each week

4. I love Xmas and watching people open the presents I have taken ages to buy for them

5. I love the family Xmas meal (it kills me cooking for 10 but oh so worth it)

6. I am lucky to be on some fabulous design teams

7. It is my birthday soon, very soon, oh cannot wait.............................................

Today is the next challenge at the

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

and the theme this week was chosen by little old me :)

I chose to go with a

Photo Inspirational

so here is your photo

here is what I created for my design team inspirational piece, but don't forget to check out the rest of the design teams creations for lots more eye candy

I created an easel card, not done one for a while, so made a change. The base colour is gold mirror card and the papers are from Grimsby Crafts. The image is of course some of my favourite little mice, just love em!!! I have used the MS little heart punch, some pearls from the Hobby house and lots of lovely flowers in the main from Wild Orchid. The ribbon is from stash.

The return and front sentiment are from a set of sentiments from Grimsby Crafts

The sentiment nestie has been bent to shape and I have added cerise stickles to the image and diamond to the flowers. The image has been coloured in copics, think I used nearly every colour in the green and yellow green spectrum for the leaves.

A Winter Birthday Treat with the Winter Wonderland DT

Good morning to you all in the land of blog and Merry Christmas to you all

Last night was spent putting up the Christmas Tree, love doing this, so that tomorrow I can sit and write out all of my Christmas cards, do hope I have boxes for all of them this year, I have tried so hard honest. Hope you are getting in the Christmas mood too.

where today we move slightly from the Christmas Theme, as we anticipate that most people have by now completed all of there Christmas cards, so today's theme chosen by our talented Linda is

but before I move on to my creation I would like to say thank you to the lovely design team at Moving Along With the Times for choosing one of my cards for the Top Three award this week

So onto my Winter Themed Birthday card, but don't forget to hop over and see the design teams inspirational pieces too

I have used some of those gorgeous pink, purple and black Christmas papers for this little birthday card number. The base colour is black the flowers in the main are from Wild Orchid the little feather is from Grimsby Crafts as is the image and the sentiment

I added a little stickles glitter to the flowers

The image plate has been air brushed in V15 and the image coloured in copics

The sentiment has also been airbrushed to match

The pearls are from the Hobby House

Tickled Pink Box meets The Sketchy Challenge

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

So excited the Christmas Tree goes up in a couple of days, whoop whoop, don't you love getting in the Christmas spirit :)

I recently made a lovely 8 x 8 card with some of the new gorgeous Tickled Pink Images, and then had to buy me some more lol xx

So needing a box to put this creation in I used the same papers and one of my new images to create this little number

I used the sketch from The Sketchy Challenge

Now the base layer is a burgundy pearlescent with oh those papers that I have had ages, so sorry never remember what they were. The image has been die cut out with the next to small circle grand, the shaping for the large circle is the largest of the grand dies. Pearls from the Hobby House, flowers in the main from Wild Orchid and the sentiment is my own fair hand, I used a versa mark pen and then wet embossed with gold, not bad for my tacky hand writing. Over sprayed with gold glitter lacquer and the distressing and over stamping with TH Antique Linen. The ribbon around the sides was for wrapping Xmas presents from Lidl dead cheap a bargain and lots on the real.
